Salvation By Grace, According to Hebrews

But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone. In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered. Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family.
— Hebrews 2:9-11

It was because of grace that Christ tasted death for you. How can God die? Well through the humanity of Christ God tasted death, **his own curse for sin!** in order to bring many sons and daughters into his own family! If there is an impassable cliff and chasm between God and man, he built the bridge, and then showed you the way to the bridge and brings you across!

Do you realize that despite your best efforts at times, you will not be able to thwart his intention and plan of salvation in your life? His grace is stronger! This should be your primary identity and much of the Christian life is learning what it means that you now belong to Christ...do you grasp that this morning?

In Prayer Today:

Confess and turn from any doubts you have about the efficacy of Christ's saving grace for your soul.
