The Pardon You Didn't Deserve 3

As David Pardoned Absolom and brought him home, attempting to restore him, so Christ has even more completely and sufficiently pardoned from our sins and brought us home to the Father. Hear how Paul continues this theme in the New Testament:

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us...
— Ephesians 1:3-8

At the cross, it all came together, justice was once and for all satisfied, and the love of Christ was poured out on us.  You cannot be held in double jeopardy for your sins! But do not harden your heart like Amnon or Absolom showing that you were none of Christ’s if you continue in a lifestyle of brazen and unrepentant sin, cease from your prodigal son/daughter pathway and find rest in Him today...

In Prayer Today:

Thank the living God that He has adopted us, giving us redemption an forgiveness, all to the praise of His glorious grace!
