God is our Rock!

1 David sang to the LORD the words of this song when the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. 2 He said: “The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; 3 my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation. He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior—from violent people you save me. 4 “I called to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and have been saved from my enemies.
— 2 Samuel 22:1-4

A rock in the desert is a place of shelter, and you will never get anywhere in the Christian life without first learning to make God your refuge. We must practice taking refuge in Him in all times. You must learn to make communion with God something that is untouchable by the world of evil, and then you stand firm, because of your connection to THE ROCK. You must go into the secret place of prayer every morning and find strength for the day ahead. As someone has once said: "The secret to prayer is praying in secret!"

In Prayer Today:

Call out to the Lord, who is worthy of praise!
